Daniel Radcliffe, left, and Ralph Fiennes spar in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2.” It’s mid-April, which means it’s spring, which means it’s almost summer, which means it’s almost time for part two of “Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows” (88 days to be exact, but you probably already knew that).
A newly-posted clip on Trailer Addict from the upcoming movie should make the wait a little easier to bear. Taken off the “Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Part 1” DVD, it comprises the first four-and-a-half minutes of the second movie, picking up where the last film ended. In the final moments of the first film, Voldemort seizes the Elder Wand and shoots crackling lightning into the sky, illuminating the trademark signature of an HP film: ominous albeit gorgeous Scottish hills.
The second film begins on a defiant note. Harry has found himself at Shell Cottage with wand expert Ollivander, who tells him that if Voldemort has the Elder Wand, Harry essentially has no chance. No stranger to pronouncements of doom, Harry resolutely replies, “I suppose I’ll have to kill him before he finds me, then.” The movie comes out July 15.
